How to create a banner widget and add it to a page

The banner widget lets you add an eye-catching call-to-action section — with a heading, supporting text, image, and up to three buttons — to any page on your site. You can even add multiple slides to create a rotating carousel of CTAs.

Steps

1. Create a new widget entry

Go to Pages, then select the Widgets tab. Click +New Entry in the top right corner, then change the Entry Type to Banner.

2. Add your content

Fill in the fields for your first CTA:

• Heading — the primary text of your CTA
• Text — supporting secondary text
• Buttons — up to three buttons, each with its own button text and link
• Image — the primary image for the banner
• Content Alignment — choose Left, Centre, or Right to position your text and buttons over the image
• Style — select a colour palette from your theme's predefined options, which controls the design flourishes around your content

Pro tip: Keep your heading short and your button text action-focused ("Plan your trip", "Explore now") — this reads better across both desktop and mobile.

3. Add extra slides for a carousel (optional)

If you'd like your banner to rotate through multiple CTAs, add another slide within the same widget entry and repeat the fields above. Each slide will cycle through automatically when the widget is live on a page.

4. Save your entry

Click Save entry. Your banner widget is now ready to use on any page.

5. Add the widget to a page

Open the page entry where you'd like the banner to appear. In the page builder, add the Widget content block, then select your banner widget from the list.

6. Save and preview

Click Save entry, then use Live Page Preview to check how your banner looks before publishing.

What happens next

Your banner widget will appear on the page wherever you've placed the Widget block. Because it's managed as a single entry, any updates you make to the widget — including adding or reordering slides — will flow through to every page it's added to.
