The footer navigation is typically used to showcase important utility-oriented information from your website such as your privacy policy or contact page.
To update the links in your Footer.
- Head to the Navigation tab
- Next open the Footer entry.
To the right-hand side of the page, there will be 4 dropdown options - Entries, Categories, Assets and Custom URL. Each entry type is explained in more detail below.
You can add as many footer links as you wish, but for optimal user experience, we recommend keeping footer links to a minimum so your most important informational content isn't overwhelmed by other content.
Linking to an existing page on your domain.
- To add a footer link that opens to an existing page on your site ensure you’re in the entries section.
- If you want the page to open in a new window then click the slider icon to green or leave as grey to redirect within the same window.
- From here, select +Add an entry and choose which page from within the platform you want to link to.
Linking to a category
- To add a footer link that opens to an existing page for a specific category on your site ensure you’re in the categories section.
- If you want the page to open in a new window then click the slider icon to green or leave as grey to redirect within the same window.
- Next, select +Add an category and choose which category from within the platform you want to link to.
Linking to an asset
- To add a footer link that opens to an existing asset on your site, such as a PDF, ensure you’re in the Assets section.
- If you want the page to open in a new window then click the slider icon to green or leave as grey to redirect within the same window.
- From here, select +Add an asset and choose the relevant file within the platform.
Linking to a custom URL
- To link to a custom or external URL or even an email address, make sure you’re in the Custom URL section to the right of the footer page.
- If you want the link to open in a new window then click the slider icon to green or leave as grey to redirect within the same window.
- Next, specify the title of your hyperlink along with the URL. Then press the red Add button.
